Artist Club’s regular evening cultural programme, “Shondha Prodip,” was held on Friday, 31 July 2026, at the Artist Club Lounge in the capital. The musical evening came alive with captivating performances by two of Bangladesh’s celebrated modern music artistes, Rafiqul Alam and Protiti Biswas, who enthralled the audience with their memorable renditions.
The programme opened with Protiti Biswas, who delighted the audience by performing ten of her popular songs. She was followed by legendary vocalist Rafiqul Alam, whose performance of ten of his most-loved songs received warm applause from the audience. Their outstanding performances transformed the Artist Club Lounge into a vibrant celebration of music. Among the notable songs performed were “Ek Hridoyhinar Kachhe Hridoyer Ki Mullo Achhe,” “Jetuku Shomoy Tumi Thako Kachhe,” “Char Deyaler Majhe Amar Bishal Prithibi,” and “Tomake Jeno Bhule Na Jai,” among many other popular songs.
The event was graced by Honourable State Minister for Cultural Affairs, Ali Newaz Mahmud Khayem, as the Chief Guest. He enjoyed the performances and, responding to repeated requests from the audience, took to the stage and sang two songs himself, adding a special dimension to the evening and earning enthusiastic appreciation from the audience.
The programme was elegantly hosted by renowned vocalist and President of Artist Club, Sujit Mustafa, whose engaging presentation and interaction with the artistes made the evening even more enjoyable.
