In his speech, the Cultural Affairs Minister emphasized the need to translate the timeless literary works of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam into the world’s major languages so that his literary philosophy may reach readers across the globe. To achieve this objective, he directed the formation of a high-level Translation Committee. It was proposed that the Executive Director of the Kabi Nazrul Institute serve as the Member-Secretary of the committee, with the Director General of Bangla Academy, the Director of the National Book Centre, and renowned singer D. Nashid Kamal, daughter of the legendary Abbasuddin, included as members. He further urged the urgent renovation of the old building and the speedy transfer of official activities to the newly constructed building.
The State Minister for Cultural Affairs highlighted the prolonged non-filling of various vacant posts at the institute and sought an explanation from the officials regarding the delay in recruitment. Stressing the need to make the institution more dynamic and efficient, he issued strict instructions to initiate immediate recruitment for all vacant posts without delay.
