
Omoda Jaecoo officially launched the Jaecoo J7 PHEV SHS in Bangladesh, marking a significant milestone in Bangladesh’s transition toward sustainable premium mobility.
The grand unveiling was attended by the Honorable Director of Omoda Jaecoo, Mr. Shaidur Rahman, alongside Asian Holdings Executive Director Mr. Zahed Hossain and Omoda Jaecoo Executive Director Mr. Shadiqul Mostuk. High-profile automotive enthusiasts and influencers, Huq Riaz, and Mustavi (Admin, Car & Conversion), were also present to witness the debut.
The J7 PHEV features the advanced Super Hybrid System (SHS), powered by a 5th-generation 1.5 TDGI dedicated hybrid engine paired with a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT). This configuration delivers a combined output of 341 BHP and 525 Nm of torque, achieving a top speed of 180 km/h.
Designed for long-distance efficiency, the vehicle offers a combined driving range of ≥1,350 km (WLTC). For urban commutes, its 18.3 kWh LFP battery provides over 100 km of pure electric range, with an estimated running cost of BDT 2.20 per km when operating in EV mode. The battery supports DC fast charging, powering from 30% to 80% in just 20 minutes.
Built for the local climate and terrain, the SUV boasts a 600 mm water wading capacity to navigate monsoon flooding. Safety remains a priority, with the vehicle earning a 5-star Euro NCAP rating. It is equipped with 8 airbags, 80% high-strength steel construction, and a suite of ADAS features including Adaptive Cruise Control and a 540° HD Panoramic Camera.
The interior is defined by a 14.8-inch touchscreen, ventilated eco-leather seats, and a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function capable of providing 3.3 kW of external power for appliances.
