
The British Council Partner Schools Teachers’ Recognition Award 2025 was held on October 26, 2025, at Le Meridien in Dhaka. The event celebrated the dedication of schoolteachers who successfully completed the Yearly-Training Programme in collaboration with the British Council. The training program, which included both online and face-to-face modules, focused on crucial topics such as Special Educational Needs, Future Core Skills, Behaviour Management, and Effective Lesson Planning.
A total of 141 teachers from 26 schools were recognized at the ceremony for their exceptional commitment to professional development in Bangladesh. This included 115 teachers from 18 schools in Dhaka, 19 teachers from Chattogram, and 7 teachers from Sylhet.
Maxim Raimann, Country Exams Director of the British Council in Bangladesh, addressed the gathering, saying, “It is a proud moment for us to bring together more than 100 school teachers on this platform, which shows their commitment to professional development. We thank our partner schools for their continuous collaboration. This platform is a testament to our partnership. Congratulations to the teachers on their achievements. We believe that these initiatives help teachers be better equipped to prepare students for the future.”
The event also featured a speech by Talal Meer, Regional Business Director, English and Exams, South Asia, British Council, followed by a presentation on the Success Story of the Yearly-Training Programme by Sana Shahid, Master Trainer, British Council Bangladesh. Additionally, Srideep Mitra, Master Trainer, British Council KSA, shared insights from the program’s Shared Practices in Saudi Arabia.
Teachers who participated in the Yearly-Training Programme were presented with crests and certificates to acknowledge their hard work and dedication. Two awardees also took the stage to share their personal training experiences with the British Council.
The event concluded with closing remarks by Tahnee Yeasmin, Director of Business Development, British Council. There are two additional award ceremonies scheduled to take place in Chattogram on October 28, 2025, and in Sylhet on November 8, 2025.
