Mobile Court Fines Three Aftabnagar Institutions for Construction Material Air Pollution

Today, on 2 July 2025, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change conducted a mobile court in B-Block of Aftabnagar area in Dhaka Metropolitan City for causing air pollution by dumping construction materials openly on public roads. The mobile court was led by Jesmin Nahar, Deputy Secretary and Executive Magistrate of the Ministry. Prosecution was conducted by Mr. Md. Monir Uddin Ahmad, Inspector of the Department of Environment, Dhaka Metropolitan Office. Upon evidence of violation of Rule 11(g) of the Air Pollution (Control) Rules, 2022, three individuals from three institutions were fined a total of BDT 15,000, which was duly realized on the spot.
