Rajib Moni Das Wins Mother Teresa Award 2025 for Best Playwright
On August 26, 2025, the 115th birth anniversary of Mother Teresa was observed worldwide. Born in 1910 in Skopje, Albania, Mother Teresa devoted her entire life to serving the poor and underprivileged in India. To honor her memory and legacy, the Bangladesh Sammilitto Sangskritik Society organized a discussion and an award ceremony at a hotel in Bijoynagar, Dhaka.
The highlight of the evening was the Mother Teresa Award 2025, where celebrated playwright, lyricist, and novelist Rajib Moni Das was honored as the Best Playwright. The award was presented to him by renowned filmmaker Kazi Hayat, a National Film Award winner, along with Syed Margub Morshed, former Information Secretary and Chairman of BTRC.
