Filmmaker Raisul Islam Anik Issues Unconditional Apology and Withdraws False Statements
Filmmaker Raisul Islam Anik has withdrawn his previous statements and issued an unconditional apology. In a press note signed by him on 11 June 2026, he acknowledged that certain remarks he had made regarding the films Charulata and Dhaka 1205, both produced by Shadamata Entertainment, were incorrect and had caused damage to the production company's business reputation.
In his written statement, Anik said that his comments made on 19 May 2026 in response to questions from journalists regarding the two films were unintended, inaccurate, and inappropriate. He expressed his sincere and unconditional apology to Shadamata Entertainment and all concerned parties for any harm caused by those remarks.
