Saudia Launches New City Ticketing Office in Dhaka

Saudia, the national flag carrier of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has launched its new state-of-the-art City Ticketing Office in Dhaka, reinforcing Saudia’s long-standing presence in Bangladesh and commitment to delivering exceptional guest services.
The new office, located on the 16th floor of Simpletree Attalika, 134 Gulshan Avenue, was launched by H.E Dr. Abdullah Zafer H Bin Abiyah, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Bangladesh. The ceremony was attended by senior officials, including Mr. Musaed Almusaed, Assistant Vice President of International Regions at Saudia, and Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam, Secretary East & West at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
H.E Dr. Abdullah Zafer H Bin Abiyah highlighted the deep and historic ties between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh, rooted in shared values and friendship. He expressed confidence that the new office would further strengthen people-to-people connections, enhance travel convenience, and provide exceptional service to Bangladeshi travelers, including Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.
Dr. Nazrul Islam welcomed Saudia’s investment in the Bangladeshi aviation market and stated: “Saudia has been a trusted partner of our aviation sector, and this new investment will further support the growing demand for travel while reinforcing bilateral ties between our two nations”.
Mr. Tarik Alowaidi, Country Manager of Saudia in Bangladesh, said: “We have expanded our flight frequency to meet the growing demand of guests travelling between Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, and beyond. This investment in our new Dhaka office reflects Saudia’s unwavering commitment to serving our valued guests with greater efficiency, comfort, and accessibility.”
Mr. Ahmed Yusuf Walid, General Sales Agent (GSA) of Saudia in Bangladesh, commented: “Saudia has become a preferred carrier for long-haul travel to Europe and North America, while also providing Bangladeshi travelers with convenient options for Umrah through our streamlined stopover visa program, available via Saudia’s official website (www.saudia.com).”
Built to international standards, the Gulshan office is Saudia’s most advanced facility in Bangladesh. It features dedicated counters for general guests, premium cabin guests, and AlFursan members, in addition to a dedicated meeting space for travel trade partners and a training and conference room to host product briefings and engagement sessions with travel agents. The new office enhances accessibility, reduces waiting times, and reflects Saudia’s drive toward greater digitalization to deliver faster and more seamless services.
Saudia will continue operating its existing City Ticketing Offices at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka and in Agrabad, Chattogram, ensuring convenient access for guests across the country.
The launching coincided with World Tourism Day 2025, underscoring the Kingdom’s growing role in global tourism and its efforts to promote the Umrah Plus program, which enables travelers to combine their spiritual journeys with cultural and leisure experiences across Saudi Arabia, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
Saudia (Saudia Airlines) is the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia. Established in 1945, it is one of the Middle East’s largest airlines and operates one of the youngest fleets with 149 aircraft.
