Registration for the Global Scholars Olympiad 2025 has officially begun

To connect children and teenagers from Bangladesh and around the world with international-standard educational competitions, Space Innovation Camp and Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) have jointly organized one of the year’s largest international education competitions — the Global Scholars Olympiad 2025.

Today, with an inaugural ceremony held at Independent University, Bangladesh in Dhaka, this competition was officially launched. Alongside the inauguration, a hands-on science workshop was organized for children and teenagers, which further ignited their curiosity and creativity.

According to the organizers, students can participate in the competition in three age groups: 6–9 years, 10–12 years, and 13–16 years. The competition subjects include Science, Mathematics, Environment, Technology, Brain Games, and General Knowledge. Each participant can compete in up to three subjects.

Surrounding the Olympiad, there will be school campaigns, data boot camps, and online preliminary exams in Bangladesh as well as in various other countries. Finally, the Grand Finale will be held on December 20, 2025. In the finale, champions, runners-up, and second runners-up will be selected from each group.

Chief Guest Habib Bin Muzaffar, PhD, Dean of the School of Engineering, Technology and Sciences at IUB, said: “I am truly delighted to be present at the inauguration ceremony of the Global Scholars Olympiad 2025. Here, students will not only showcase their skills and knowledge through competition, but will also gain new ideas, creativity, and a global perspective. We firmly believe that the future of Bangladesh—and the world—will be built upon the talent and innovative power of this young generation.”

Special Guest Anis Rahman, CEO of Billions for Bangladesh Inc., said: “Even while living abroad, I always observe that the talent of our children and teenagers is limitless. Such international initiatives will create opportunities to nurture and develop their abilities in the right way. I firmly believe that one day the new generation will bring pride to Bangladesh not only within the country but also on the global stage through their skills and innovations.”

Ariful Hasan Opu, President of Space Innovation Camp, said: “The Global Scholars Olympiad will foster children’s curiosity, problem-solving skills, and global perspective. Usually, we go abroad to participate in competitions, but through this Olympiad, children and teenagers from around the world will come to Bangladesh. This will create a global bond that will make them even more confident.”
