Renowned novelist, playwright, and lyricist Rajib Moni Das served as the head judge of the reality show “Miss and Mrs. Plus Beauty.” Organized for the second time by Star Multimedia, the gala round of the show’s second season—featuring both married and unmarried plus-sized women—was held on Friday, 11 July 2025, at 7 PM at Guide House, New Bailey Road, Dhaka. This event was not merely a beauty contest but also a platform aimed at promoting health awareness among plus-sized women and nurturing their inner talents.
After a long and thorough selection process involving thousands of applicants, 70 contestants were selected for the final round. Through various grooming sessions, the participants received training in acting, ramp walking, pronunciation, and dance. From there, 10 finalists were shortlisted for the gala round. The expert judging panel then evaluated their performances across multiple categories to determine the top three winners. Anannya Khan was crowned the winner of the Miss and Mrs. Plus Beauty Reality Show (Season 2), while Lucky Chanda and Mafia Borsha were named the first and second runners-up, respectively.
Rajib Moni Das remarked that many people associate beauty contests with zero figures, fair skin, and external charm, often overlooking the other intellectual qualities and capabilities a person may possess. He expressed his belief that this competition would empower plus-sized women not only to become more health-conscious but also to contribute meaningfully to the cultural sphere through their unique talents.
Sohel Afsan, the founder of Star Multimedia, thanked the contestants, judges, and media professionals for their support, stating that it was through their cooperation and advice that the event was successfully organized for the second time. He further added that such initiatives would continue in their mission to raise awareness in society.
The judging panel included Rajib Moni Das, actress Anchal Akhi, director Md. Fahad, fashion designer Rumi Karim, and dance choreographer Yusuf Khan. The event was also attended by several prominent figures from the cultural arena and media.
