
Written by Rajib Moni Das and directed by Naznin Hasan Khan, the drama ‘Niyoti’ was recently filmed at various locations in Ulukhola, Kaliganj. The cast includes Shibli Naoman, Jannatun Nur Moon, Masud Mohiuddin, Saika Ahme, Farid Hossain, Snigdha Hossain, Subrata Chakraborty, among others.
Director Naznin Hasan Khan said, “No one knows what fate has in store. People often blame one another for what happens in life, though the truth is usually far more complex. Just as it’s hard to live under one roof without harmony, sometimes even broken relationships find a way to reconnect in the most unexpected, almost miraculous, ways. That’s the essence of ‘Niyoti’ — the beauty of fate.”
Writer Rajib Moni Das added, “Life doesn’t always go according to our wishes. What happens — that is fate. And within that fate lie the many calculations of life. Sometimes those calculations work out, sometimes they don’t.”
Story Summary:- Isha leaves her husband and returns to her parents’ home, making a firm decision to end her marriage. When she utters the word ‘divorce’, everyone around her is left shocked and speechless. Her parents try to persuade her to reconsider, but Isha is not someone who changes her mind easily. Once she says something, she never takes it back.
Life moves on, never stopping. Amidst this journey, Isha meets Ratul, and soon she finds herself drawn to him. Her thoughts, emotions — everything begins to revolve around Ratul.
However, her family is unable to accept what they see as shameless behavior. Determined, Isha decides to marry Ratul. But as she walks into the marriage registrar’s office holding Ratul’s hand, she is stunned to see Dipu there. When Ratul reveals the truth, Isha is overwhelmed with shame — all this time, Ratul had been pretending to love her. Could a friend really go this far just for another friend?
