Speaking about the drama, director Naznin Hasan Khan said, “A girl spends her whole life dreaming of marrying the man of her dreams. Her wedding day is the most awaited day of her life. Dressed as a bride, she waits eagerly for the groom’s family to arrive. But as the day turns into evening, there’s still no sign of them. Then comes the shocking news that the groom has fled from the car. Imagine the mental state of that girl and her family at that moment! My new drama Phooler Bibaho is based on this very storyline. I hope it will touch the hearts of the audience.”
The story of Phooler Bibaho also revolves around a group of university students. Three friends share a rented flat and live together. One day, their housemaid doesn’t show up for work. With no food at home, the trio goes out to eat, only to find all the local eateries closed. They soon realize it’s May 1st — International Workers’ Day — and all the workers are on holiday. Now the question arises: where will they get food?
While roaming the streets in hunger and frustration, Imran comes up with an idea — why not crash a wedding and eat there? Following his plan, the three sneak into a wedding venue. No one recognizes them, so they blend in and start enjoying the festivities — dancing, singing, and having fun.
Suddenly, the celebration is interrupted by devastating news: the groom has run away. The bride’s family is devastated, their honor shattered. In this moment of crisis, Imran steps forward and expresses his desire to marry the bride, Iti. However, her father refuses.
Phooler Bibaho unfolds into an engaging, emotionally intense story from there, with unexpected turns and heartfelt moments. According to the director, the drama is set to air soon on a private television channel.
