National Film Award-winning singer Somnur Monir Konal continues to make her mark across all genres of music—not just in films but also in the broader music industry. Alongside her regular playback work for movies, she actively contributes to the audio music scene. In continuation of that journey, Konal’s new romantic song “Amar Ki Hao Tumi” (What Are You to Me) is set to release.
Konal is joined in this duet by talented contemporary vocalist Aminul Islam.
The lyrics and tune are by Prince Rubel, with S Pulok handling the music arrangement. Mixing and mastering were done by Tahan Khan Tamim.
The music video, which tells a playful love story, has been directed by Farhan Ahmed Rafat. It features Alvi Mamun and Akhi in lead roles, with appearances by both Konal and Aminul. The song will be released under Dhruba Music Station (DMS).
Talking about the song, Konal said, “It’s been a while since I sang such a beautiful romantic song. I was truly impressed by Aminul’s vocals. We shot the video in a beautiful location surrounded by red soil and greenery. I hope everyone enjoys the song.”
An excited Aminul shared, “Singing with Konal apu feels like a dream come true. She’s incredibly helpful and has sung the song beautifully. I tried my best to give my all. I hope this song touches everyone’s heart.”
Dhruba Music Station (DMS) has announced that the official music video of “Amar Ki Hao Tumi” will be released on their YouTube channel on Thursday, July 10.
