Global AI device ecosystem company HONOR has announced a strategic partnership with BYD, the world’s leading new-energy vehicle manufacturer, to redefine consumer experience through AI-powered, human-centric intelligent mobility solutions.
The collaboration brings together HONOR’s vehicle connectivity technology and BYD’s next-generation DiLink smart ecosystem, aiming to deliver a seamless, intelligent, and connected mobility experience for users.
A signing ceremony was held recently, where Fang Fei, President of Products at HONOR, and Yang Dongsheng, Senior Vice President of BYD and President of the Automotive New Technology Research Institute, signed on behalf of their respective organizations. The event was also attended by James Li, CEO of HONOR, and Wang Chuanfu, Chairman and President of BYD Group, among other executives.
The partnership will focus on three key areas — core technology, ecosystem integration, and user engagement. Together, HONOR and BYD will:
-
Innovate in cross-device integration, AI agent connectivity, and Bluetooth-based car key technology
-
Develop a model that ensures maximum interoperability between HONOR’s connected devices and BYD’s intelligent ecosystem
-
Collaborate on joint marketing campaigns, co-launches, and user engagement initiatives around strategic milestones
James Li, CEO of HONOR, stated,
“At HONOR, we believe that human-centric innovation is the key to unlocking the full potential of technology. Our partnership with BYD is a forward-looking collaboration built for the AI era, with smart mobility at its heart. Together, we aim to create a new ecosystem that seamlessly integrates people, devices, and vehicles—ushering in a new paradigm of intelligent living.”
The HONOR-BYD partnership first began in 2023 with the introduction of NFC car keys, allowing BYD owners to unlock their cars using HONOR smartphones. In 2024, the collaboration expanded to include in-vehicle fast charging, and by 2025, the companies launched HONOR Car Connect, which is currently in use by Denza and will soon expand to other BYD brands.
Looking ahead, the two companies plan to co-develop new features such as phone-to-car connectivity and digital car keys, making smart mobility safer, smarter, and more accessible for everyone.
