Spread the love

Stories of space missions have always sparked a unique sense of wonder in children’s imaginations. These journeys are not only about thrill and adventure but also ignite scientific thinking and innovation. To nurture curiosity, analytical skills, and creativity among children, Space Innovation Camp organized the second edition of the Space Exploration Olympiad in Bangladesh—focusing on themes such as space science, space robotics, technology and innovation, the solar system, galaxies, programming, and cosmology.

Participants were divided into three age-based categories: 6–9, 10–12, and 13–14 years. To prepare for the Olympiad, Kids Space Camps were held in all eight divisions across the country, along with 150 school campaigns and district-level data bootcamps. Additionally, through 12 “Space Talks,” space scientists and researchers answered various questions posed by young learners. Students also had access to online quiz practices and a state-of-the-art mock test software that allowed them to assess their own knowledge and performance.

Following two rounds of preliminary and secondary online exams based on age category, selected candidates participated in today’s Grand Finale. A total of 100 crew members from across the country took part in the final round, held at American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). In the closing ceremony, winners from all three categories were awarded as Champion, 1st Runner-Up, 2nd Runner-Up, and one participant received the prestigious Excellence Award.
