Two students from Glenrich International School earned international recognition in the World Mathematics Invitational 2025, arguably one of the most prestigious math competitions in the world. Held in Bangkok, the event brought together top young math talents from all over the world, where Glenrich students stood out for their outstanding skills.
Aayan Zaman, a student in Grade 10 at Glenrich Uttara, secured a Silver Medal in this global contest. He had qualified for the contest in Grade 9 with his excellent problem-solving and mathematics skills. In the Grade 5 category, Aariz Intishar Chowdhury, a Grade 6 student from the Satarkul campus, earned a Gold Medal. He had qualified while he was in Grade 5 and has been selected to represent Bangladesh at the VIMC International Math Competition in Vietnam this August.
Speaking of their achievements, Anit Arora, Principal, Glenrich International School, Satarkul, opined, “This is yet another proud moment for Glenrich, reflecting the hard work and passion of our students, and the support of the teachers and the parents. As always, we are committed to helping our learners grow into confident individuals who can shine bright on global stages.”
Both students were part of Bangladesh’s historic 22-member national team, where every participant received an award. The team collectively brought home 4 Gold Medals, 6 Silver Medals, 8 Bronze Medals, and 4 Merit Awards – marking a proud moment for the country.
The national team was trained by ‘Banglar Math’, the official partner for WMI in Bangladesh. Their intensive training allowed the students to be prepared for a high-level international competition such as the WMI.
Glenrich International School is proud and celebrates the accomplishments of the students, as well as remains committed to investing in the potential of students.
