
Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser on Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, visited Banglalink Headquarters and its Network Management Center to review ongoing network modernization efforts and customer experience enhancement initiatives.
During the visit, Taiyeb stressed that balanced and optimal allocation of sub-1 GHz low-band spectrum, particularly the 700 MHz band, is essential to ensure reliable, affordable, and inclusive connectivity across the nation. He highlighted that the 700 MHz spectrum is strategically important for improving rural coverage, reducing network congestion, and enabling fair competition so that all operators can deliver high-quality digital services to citizens.
The discussions centered on how Banglalink is strengthening its digital network, leveraging AI-driven tools, and expanding digital and financial inclusion initiatives. Banglalink presented details of its continued investments in network modernization, advanced analytics, and Quality of Service (QoS) improvement to offer faster data speeds and seamless connectivity nationwide. The company also highlighted targeted efforts to broaden digital access in underserved communities.
Taiyeb commended Banglalink’s efforts and encouraged public–private collaboration to ensure efficient spectrum utilization, competitive parity, and enhanced customer experience across Bangladesh.
