This year, on the occasion of Durga Puja, Dr. ArupRatan Choudhury is bringing a special music video titled “Debi Durgabandana.” Produced under the banner of Sangeeta Music, the music video has been created to celebrate the festive season. The official launch will take place on 27 September 2025 (the day before Puja) at the National Museum, Dhaka. Following the event, the music video will be released on Sangeeta’s YouTube channel, as well as various television and online platforms.
All production activities for “Debi Durgabandana” have been completed. The audio recording is done, and the video has been filmed at Dhakeshwari National Temple and other special locations, featuring co-artists and dancers. The main vocalist is Ekushey Padak award-winning freedom fighter Dr. ArupRatan Choudhury, with lyrics by Jibon Choudhury. The composition and music direction have been done by Binod Roy, while the choreography and dance direction are by Anik Basu.
Dr. ArupRatan Choudhury believes that this music video will add an extra dimension of joy to the universal Durga Puja festivities. In his words: “The universal celebration of Durga Puja is an inseparable part of Bengali culture. During this time, joy and festivity turn places into vibrant gatherings. Music is one of the essential elements of celebration. With this humble effort, I simply wish to spread the message of happiness among people. My attempt will be truly meaningful if music lovers enjoy it.”
