Chuti Resort Purbachal, one of Bangladesh’s pioneering resort chains, successfully concluded its 4th Art Carnival at its scenic Purbachal Centre on the outskirts of Dhaka. The two-day celebration of creativity, art, and culture brought together children, youth, and celebrated artists in an immersive experience.

This year’s carnival featured 16 renowned artists, including Dr. Mohammad Shamim Reza, Rumana Robbani, M. Muntaqim Shaon, Md. Mostafizur Rahman Mridul, Syed Muhammad Zakir, Golam Faruque Sarkar, Kamrun Nahar, Fahmida Khatun, Sumana Akter, Anindita Datta, Neloy I Hossain, Sumana Haque, Razzaque Prodhan Liton, Md. Harun Ar Rashid Tutul, Salina Fordous, and Khandker Nasir Ahammed.

Over the two days, the artists created more than 60 remarkable paintings—ranging from vibrant acrylics on canvas to delicate water colours—reflecting themes of landscape, nature, heritage of Bengal, urban life, and contemporary issues. These works will become part of the resort’s permanent collection, enriching its cultural atmosphere.

The event also featured a soulful musical evening by Farhin Khan Joyita, adding melody to the colours of the carnival.

Managing Director and Co-founder of Chuti Resort, Alamgir Ferdous, shared his vision:

“Tourism is not only about leisure; it should also promote the art and culture of our country. Children and youth often visit Chuti with their families on weekends, and we want to give them meaningful exposure to Bangladeshi art. We are building a gallery at the resort to make art a permanent part of this experience.”

Artists engaged directly with children and young visitors, encouraging them to explore their creative interests. Live painting sessions became a highlight, sparking inspiration and wonder among the young audience.

Noted artist Razzaque Prodhan Liton expressed:

“When children witness art being created before their eyes, they naturally become curious and inspired. Such initiatives are vital to nurturing the next generation’s appreciation for Bangladeshi art and culture.”

The Chuti Art Carnival, now in its fourth edition, has established itself as a platform where tourism, community, and creativity come together. With plans to extend the carnival to other branches of the resort, Chuti continues its mission of blending hospitality with cultural enrichment.
