On Thursday, 28thAugust 2025, a delegation from the Bangladesh Semiconductor Industry Association (BSIA), led by Mr. M A Jabbar, President, BSIA, met Mr. Md. Anwar Hossain, the newly appointed Secretary of the Ministry of Science & Technology (MoST) at his office.
The delegation included Mr. Ashiqur Rahman Tanim, Director, BSIA; Mr. Shakhawat Hossain, CEO, Tafuri Technologies; and other members from the association.
A comprehensive presentation was delivered on the Bangladesh Semiconductor Industry, covering its current status, future prospects, and BSIA’s role in ecosystem development.
The Secretary highly appreciated BSIA’s initiative and assured full cooperation from the Ministryof Science & Technology (MoST).
Officials from MoST, including Mr. Md. Moinul Islam Titas,Additional Secretary, (NP), Mr. Muhammad Ashraf Ali Faruk, Additional Secretary (Development), Additional Charge, Mr. Bidyut Chandra Aich, Joint Secretary, NP, and Mr. A.S.M. Musa, Senior Assistant Secretary, also actively participated in the discussion.
This meeting marks a significant step forward in strengthening collaboration between the government and industry to build a globally competitive semiconductor ecosystem for Bangladesh.
