BRAC Bank marked Mother’s Day with an exclusive event, “Parenting: A Shared Journey of Partnership,” for TARA mothers and their spouses. The event focused on parenting, equitable partnerships, and holistic well-being in the modern parenting journey.
Held on May 17, 2025, the event brought together professionals, parents, and changemakers to address mental well-being dynamics, parenting, and family management.
The highlight of the evening was a wellness workshop facilitated by BRAC Bank’s official wellbeing partner, Moner Bondhu. Led by Founder Tawhida Shiropa and Lead Psychosocial Counsellor Kazi Rumana Haque, the interactive session centred around mental well-being, positive parenting, self-care, and building support systems in personal and professional spheres.
A panel discussion moderated by Kazi Rumana Haque featured Sabrina Shaheed, Principal, Sir John Wilson School; Kashef Rahman, Founder, ShareTrip; and from BRAC Bank, Ishrat Jahan, Head of Cards, Bonds and Custodial Operations, and A. K. M. Tareq, Senior Zonal Head, Distribution Network; The panelists shared insights on balancing career and parenthood, managing emotional labour, and nurturing respectful partnerships at home.
Mehruba Reza, Head of TARA, Agami, and Premium Banking at BRAC Bank, conducted a financial wellness session introducing the TARA product suite. The session followed another segment on the bank’s digital banking platform, Astha, presented by Rajibul Ahsan, Head of Retail Banking Initiatives, BRAC Bank.
The evening concluded with a cultural performance by working mothers from Arthy Ahmed Dance Academy, followed by a networking dinner that reinforced the sense of community fostered by the TARA platform.
Sheikh Mohammad Ashfaque, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Branch Distribution Network; and Sazia Hussain, Regional Head, Dhaka, Distribution Network; Mehruba Reza, spoke at the event, reaffirming their commitment to supporting the holistic and financial well-being of the customers and their families.
