It is also fitting that we are here to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary in Sylhet. This celebration of Uber’s service here shows what our future can look like: American technology meeting a local need, creating opportunity for Bangladeshi drivers, and giving Bangladeshi consumers more choice. Congratulations to Uber, its local partners, and the people of Sylhet.”

Uber first launched in Bangladesh in 2016 and has since expanded its footprint across multiple cities and divisions in the country.
