With the aim of fostering students’ interest in space science and modern technology and providing hands-on learning experiences, an Astronaut Camp was held today at Aga Khan Academy Dhaka. Organized by Space Innovation Camp, the program offered students practical exposure to space research, satellite technology, and space robotics.
The event featured an interactive session on the Apollo Moon Mission, where students learned about the history, objectives, and scientific significance of humanity’s first journey to the Moon. In addition, a CanSat session was conducted, introducing students to the structure, working process, and real-world applications of small-scale satellites.
The program also included a Space Robotics Workshop, allowing students to gain hands-on experience with fundamental robotics concepts, sensors, control systems, and their practical applications. The camp concluded with an exciting model water rocket launch, which generated great enthusiasm and curiosity among the participants.
Through this program, students gained real-world exposure to various aspects of space science, engineering, and technology. In particular, they developed a clear understanding of human space exploration through the Apollo Mission, basic satellite technology through CanSat activities, and the practical application of science and engineering through space robotics and rocket launching.
Organizers from Space Innovation Camp believe that such initiatives play a vital role in nurturing scientific curiosity, innovative thinking, and a passion for technology among students. They also shared plans to expand similar hands-on, science-based programs to more educational institutions in the future.
