Institute of Research, Innovation, Incubation, and Commercialization (IRIIC) of United International University (UIU) in collaboration with AI Forum Bangladesh organized a two-day training on “AI Essentials for Capital Market Professionals”. The training was concluded yesterday at the UIU Innovation Hub.
The training is the country’s first real-life AI training for capital market professionals and a total of 30 officials of LankaBangla Securities PLC participated in the training.Its main aim is toequip capital market professionals with practical AI skills directly relevant to financial operations, risk management, trade execution, and strategic decision-making.
Mr. Mohammed Nasir Uddin Chowdhury, Managing Director, Mr. Khandoker Saffat Reza, CEO, Mr. S.A.R. Md. Muinul Islam, CTO, Mr. Mohammad Amir Hossain, Senior. General Manager, and Mr. Md. Jahangir Hossain, AGMparticipated in the program along with other team members from various departments, including Management, Digital Transformation, Accounts & Finance, Institutional and Foreign Trade, Risk Management, Operations, Trade Execution, Branch Operations, and Capital Market Research.
Prof. Khondaker A. Mamun, PhD, Director, MSCSE Program and IRIIC of UIU, Founder of AI Forum Bangladesh and a leading AI expert, led the sessions with hands-on exercises, interactive discussions, and practical demonstrations, applying AI-driven solutions to real-world capital market scenarios.
The training also created space for cross-functional collaboration, enabling participants to discuss real-world challenges and explore how AI can be effectively integrated into daily workflows. This initiative underscores IRIIC, UIU, and AI Forum Bangladesh’s commitment to advancing professional development in emerging technologies, connecting academic expertise with industry practice, and fostering a culture of innovation in Bangladesh’s financial sector.
