
The Bangladesh Chapter of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA™) successfully hosted the inaugural Bangladesh Business Analysis Summit on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Grace 21 Smart Hotel, Nikunja, Dhaka. The landmark event attracted over 100 registered participants, including entrepreneurs, business analysis professionals, academics, and government officials.
The day-long summit was presided over by Mr. Mohammad Shahadat Kabir, President of IIBA Bangladesh Chapter, and featured a dynamic blend of keynote presentations, panel discussions, and interactive sessions aimed at exploring the evolving role of business analysis in a rapidly changing world.
The keynote address was delivered by Professor Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice Chancellor of Southeast University. He compellingly illustrated how data-driven business analysis has transformed decision-making in the garments and insurance industries, showcasing its pivotal role in driving success and innovation.
Highlights of the summit included:
“Navigating the Future: Strategic Business Planning in a Dynamic World”, an engaging session conducted by Mr. Gazi Ashique Mahmud, Head of Business Planning, Epyllion Group.
A thought-provoking discussion titled “Innovate, Design, deliver: Mastering Digital Product Management”, facilitated by Mr. Mohammad Shahadat Kabir.
Professor Mahbub A Alam, BIBM, explored cybersecurity risks in his session on “Securing the Future: Navigating Cyber Threats in the Digital Age”.
Mr. Quazi M. Ahmed, Founder & CEO, Quazi Consultants, delivered an insightful talk on “The Role of Business Analysts in Building Institutions”.
Professor Ireen Akhter, Director, IBA, Jahangirnagar University, spoke on “Developing a Leadership Mindset: From Academic Theory to Business Practice”.
Mr. Mohammad Oli Ahad, Founder of Dhaka AI Lab and Intelligent Machines, captivated the audience with his session “From Business Analyst to AI Entrepreneur: Turning Insight into Innovation”.
A key highlight was the panel discussion titled “Embracing the Future: Navigating Business Disruption with Emerging Technologies”, moderated by Mr. Kazi Saiful Hoque, Past President of IIBA Bangladesh Chapter. The panel featured:
