Free anti-hypertensive medicine for grassroots- Speakers at journalists’ workshop

The prevalence of hypertension is increasing alarmingly in Bangladesh. Fewer than one in seven people with hypertension have their condition under control. While the provision of free medicine has already commenced to combat the prevalence of hypertension, ensuring its availability in all healthcare facilities at the grassroots level is essential to effectively reduce hypertension-related non-communicable diseases and deaths. At the same time, sustainable funding is required for an uninterrupted supply of the medicine. NASA Space Apps Challenge 2024 kicked off

For the 11th consecutive year, the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), in collaboration with BASIS Students' Forum, has launched the Bangladesh chapter of NASA Space Apps Challenge 2024 at the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). The Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB), Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), and NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN) of India signed the tripartite power sales agreement at a ceremony in a Kathmandu hotel.
