The British Council marks the successful completion of conducting 5,400 Foundation English Tests

The British Council has organised a 'Certificate and Award Giving Ceremony' to acknowledge the successful delivery of 5,400 Foundation English Tests (FETs) to the ‘Establishment of Sheikh Kamal IT Training & Incubation Centre Project (2nd Revised)’. The event occurred on 12 June 2024 at Utshob Banquet Hall, Radisson Blu Water Garden, Dhaka. As a proud partner, the British Council has offered an English Language proficiency assessment for 16,000 youths of the ‘Establishment of Sheikh Kamal IT Training & Incubation Centre Project (2nd Revised)’ under the Hi-Tech Park Authority since 2019. UCB extends support to agricultural scientists for testing efficacy of organic pesticides

TOAB demands continuation of existing VAT exemption

The Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB) today called for the continuation of the existing VAT exemption on tour operator services, which is planned to be withdrawn in the proposed national budget announced on June 6.
